Bloomington residents have chosen a moderate practical voice for Bloomington at the state level in electing Ann Lenczewski. Widely viewed as a suburban centrist, Ann has worked hard for bipartisan, common sense solutions. Her voting record demonstrates her non-partisan practical approach and confirms her stature as one of the most moderate, centrist legislators in the state. Ann currently serves as the Tax Lead on the Minnesota House Taxes Committee. It should be noted that this difficult achievement is extremely rare for suburban legislators and is attained through hard work, diligence and listening to disparate views. Ann fights hard for Bloomington residents and the state and has worked to build numerous coalitions across party and geographic lines.
Ann credits her success to the thousands of Bloomington residents who provide her with input as she goes door to door. She counts on the good judgement and integrity of residents to be candid and fair as they work together. Ann appreciates the emails, phone calls and letters that help guide her as she attempts to make decisions on behalf of the people of Bloomington.
She grew up in Bloomington and attended the Bloomington Public Schools. She is married to Nels Erickson and they have four children; two attend Bloomington Public Schools and two are graduates of Bloomington Public Schools and are currently attending college.
